How to Check Your PC Specs on Windows
Before you check whether your PC can run a game, you need to know what's inside it. Here are the fastest built-in ways to find your specs on Windows 10 and 11 — no extra software needed.
The quick overview (CPU & RAM)
Press Windows + Pause/Break, or go to Settings → System → About. This shows your processor and installed RAM at a glance.
Find your graphics card (GPU)
Press Windows + R, type dxdiag, and press Enter. Open the Display tab to see your GPU name and video memory. Alternatively, open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) → Performance → GPU.
Check RAM speed and slots
In Task Manager → Performance → Memory, you'll see your total RAM, speed, and how many slots are used — useful for knowing if you're running dual-channel.
Check storage type (SSD or HDD)
Open Task Manager → Performance → Disk, or search "Defragment and Optimize Drives" to see whether each drive is an SSD or a hard drive.
